Trust Me, Don’t

Don’t trust my tongue,
as I tell you I hate you.
Don’t trust my tongue,
as I tell you to leave.
Don’t trust my tongue,
when I say I’ll never want you.
Don’t trust my tongue as I tell you good-bye.
Instead, trust my hands,
as I hold a little tighter.
Trust my eyes,
as they stare at you in longing.
Trust my heart,
who finds its mate in yours.
Trust anything you want of me,
but don’t trust my tongue,
it’ll tell you lies.

Prompt: Don’t Trust my Tongue.
