Crying Inside

I’m crying inside,
can’t let it out,
can’t let it bleed.
Cause if I start,
I may never stop.
One drip becomes two,
two become more.
Rivers flowing out of me.
Instead I smile,
hiding sadness inside.
Hoping to bury,
what I don’t want to show.
But my heart keeps on aching,
and my body keeps stalling.
Stilted movements,
revealing more than they should.
Each puppet-like action,
giving silent clues,
to the crying me inside.

Prompt: Crying Inside
